Oscar Documentary Nominations announced

The nominations for the Academy Awards were announced today. I can’t help but feeling a slight gripe that they don’t announce the Documentary category in their fancy televised show, but maybe one day they’ll be deemed as exciting.

I wasn’t surprised to see Burma VJ and The Cove on the list but can’t help but feel a little sad that Sergio and Mugabe and the White African weren’t included, two exceptional films. It was a tough shortlist to choose from though and I looking forward to see who gets the statue on March 7th.
