So this years Toronto After Dark Film Festival is fast approaching, and although I didn’t get a chance to attend last years festival, I heard it was quite the great selection of films. Sean just gave me a heads up on this years line up, and the film that’s stuck out for me the most (aside from Troma’s ‘Poultrygeist’. I have a soft-spot for Lloyd) is a documentary called ‘Audience of One’. Here’s the synopsis:
Mike Jacobs’ enthralling documentary follows a delusional Pentecostal priest from San Francisco on his disastrous attempt to shoot a multimillion dollar Christian version of STAR WARS, complete with stunts, costumes and special effects. Unfortunately just about everything that can go wrong, does go wrong and this doc covers the whole shoot in hilarious detail.
Sounds like ‘American Movie’ meets ‘Mule Skinner Blues’ meets ‘Hell House’. I’m definitely going to try and catch this one. Check out the trailer below and leave your thoughts in the comments section.
This looks like my kind of movie!
Looks hilarious, or maybe terrifying.
Crazy. Would really like to see it, can’t find it on Torrent though.
