“The King of Kong: A Fist Full of Quarters” Trailer Now Online

billymitchell.jpgThe trailer and website for director Seth Gordon’s ‘The King of Kong: A Fist Full of Quarters’ has just popped up online, and boy does it ever capture the essence of the 80’s. Or should I say it captures the essence of being TRAPPED in the 80’s. Such is seemingly the case of its main characters, Billy Mitchell and Steve Sanders, who digitally duke it out to see who’s the world’s greatest Donkey Kong player. The film found success at Sundance, scoring a distribution deal with Picturehouse, and has apparently provided the inspiration for an upcoming New Line fictional film based on the same events. And for what it’s worth, i’ve noticed Eli Roth has really been pushing this thing in his Hostel 2 promotional campaign. Personally, i’m a big fan of the tournament style docuentaries, so i’m hoping this won’t disappoint. And certainly an underdog story is always appealing. Check out the official King of Kong website here for more info on the film and a look at the trailer, or you can follow the link below and check it out over at /Film.
